Background
born and raised in the kingdom of daesraelia to darren hwang and alicia park, the noble rulers of the kingdom, it seemed like adrian always had his life planned out for him as prince and the heir to the throne. growing up, it was also a lonely one since his parents were often away on royal business. this meant that he was often left alone with his sister lucy for most of his life, if not his whole life.
he loved his sister and would do anything to keep her happy, but there were times where he wished he had some friends to spend time with. but unfortunately, he never really had any of those since he had been homeschooled all throughout his childhood and into his preteen years; not that his parents would let him go out much or on his own, anyway.
even if he did get to meet people his age, it was just children from different kingdoms that he was rather forced to get along with; which he never really did, for the most part. he never knew what it was like to be a normal kid, which always put him at dismay knowing that heβd never get to experience it.
following the tradition of when a child of royal blood turns sixteen, on the night that adrian became of age, he received the special dream that took him into the realm only accessible through a dream.
it was unlike anything heβs ever seen before, so he was obviously made confused by it; but despite being unsure of what it was or what it meant, he just decided to go along with it for the night and find out in the morning.
sure enough, when he woke up the next morning and mentioned it to his parents, he was surprised to find out that there was a whole in-depth meaning behind the dream when they spoke to him about it; they also mentioned that his life was going to change now that he was officially of age. it wasnβt too long before lucy had also experienced the same dream.
with this in mind, as soon as he was enrolled, adrian was sent off to royale high, a school that was intended to help him discover his true magical powers and talents, as well as create alliances with other kingdoms for the sake of protection from his familyβs enemies. and upon arrival, he was also bestowed upon his head a crown of protection that would keep those enemies from tracking him.
as much as he feared the idea of his enemies finding him (due to the occasional nightmares he faced revolving around it) he also grew to enjoy this new life he was living, surrounded by royals from the neighboring kingdoms that are exactly like him and befriending them. after all, it was definitely a step up from the lonely life he used to live.
